Hello. I'm Chloe. Blindly sauntering through life since 1993. I reside in a small seaside fishing village in England. It's not as great as it sounds.

London + Second week of Year 13.
Written @ 10:55
About a week or so back and I finally feel slightly comfortable in the new school. I can find my way round (I seem to be the only one who does?!). A quote from my mother was quite interesting. She works in the school as a Teaching Assistant to avoid confusion. "I liked the old school. It was like a pair of old slippers. Although they are falling to bits, they're comfortable."
The new slippers are slowly being worn in though. The workload is already piling and I'm steadily making my way through it. I have a nice weekend to get a Jane Eyre essay tackled which to be honest, I am really not up for this early on in the year. The prospects of ridiculous amounts of coursework is already making my stomach churn and my head hurt.

My main rant of the day is the way us 6th formers are being treated STILL. Becky and I have both suffered the peril of Happy Receptionist. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING. GET OUT. WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING," as we innocently make our way out of "Main Entrance". Turns out the main entrance is not meant to be used by students. Makes ALOT of sense doesn't it? Librarians still hold a grudge against us after last year. (We apparently made a racket and trashed the 6th form balcony.. pah) They take their job very seriously. You feel like you're committing a crime just stepping foot in the library to innocently and quietly do some work. What is their deal! Seriously. What qualifications do you need to be a librarian? Well I googled it. Here you go. "All public librarian positions require a Master's degree in library science" LIBRARY SCIENCE?! Really. What's scientific about shouting at teenagers and sorting books in Alphabetical order? One more mini rant, our school is not allowing our access all areas pass to be finished for another week. Fudging 'ell.

Matthew and I also took a wee trip to our capital city, London. A fairly quick zoom up the M5 and across the M4 got us into Reading (where we stayed). Thanks to my poor directions, it took a little while to maneuver to the right part of Oxford Road and we collapsed into a fairly cosy nights sleep in the Travelodge. Comfort and simplicity at a very affordable price. Big thumbs up from me. The next day Matthew wanted to use a train as he really doesn't do public transport so felt the need to get his fix. We ended up getting off the bus several stops early and then using Sat Nav to walk round the town centre to the station. After arriving in London, we decided to go straight for the tube but as soon as we got down there it was ridiculously busy (maybe because it always is, or maybe because the Pope was there) so we opted for an open top bus tour of the city. Was rather interesting and relaxing and much easier than trudging through the crowds of people. Tried the huge Primark on Oxford Street and got crushed. So we got the tube to the station (quite easy to use really) and went on home. Although the night was excruciatingly painful due to a stomach/back ache I managed to get, I really enjoyed the trip. Want to thank Matthew personally for a lovely weekend :) He's so good to me, he doesn't let me spend a penny. Ahh i've gone all smiley now ^_^.

Anyway, this is probably my longest blog post so far so hope you enjoyed reading it. Sorry my wit isn't all there today, I'm rather shattered. Good night. x
